complete list of players picked by all the teams at the Indian Super League 2017 player draft

The Indian Super League 2017 Indian player draft is underway in Mumbai today. A total of 15 rounds will take place in the draft process from where the 10 teams will build their Indian contingent. Teams have a total salary cap of ₹18 crores, out of which ₹12.5 crores reserved for foreigners. A squad can comprise of maximum 25 players (max. 18 Indians).

Two new teams have been added to the ISL roster this time, Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC owned by the Tata group.

Except for Delhi Dynamos and Jamshedpur FC every team had at least 2 players, which meant that these two sides started first in the auction.

Jamshedpur got things rolling by snapping up Anas Edathodika, one of the costliest players in the draft, for a whopping ₹1.1 crores. They also picked up Subrata Paul. We've also seen Eugeneson Lyngdoh being signed by Atletico de Kolkata for a similar amount as that of Anas.

The Indian Super League (ISL) draft has just concluded and clubs have now known the fate and shape of their respective squads. Kerala Blasters had a tough start to the draft proceedings but managed to build together a decent enough squad for their new head coach Rene Meulensteen, who had a watching brief alongside assistant coach Thangboi Singto.

Having already retained Sandesh Jhingan and CK Vineeth before the draft, the Blasters entered the draft in the third round. However, they sprang into action when ATK picked Eugeneson Lyngdoh and challenged their pick with an instant trading request.

That said, the Men in Yellow will be confident of putting up a good showing in the 2017/18 ISL season. Having been beaten twice in the final in 2014 and 2016, Meulensteen has been tasked with leading the Blasters to glory next season.

With the likes of Vineeth and Jacki in their side, Kerala Blasters have adequate attacking firepower but they could face a goal scoring problem should Vineeth misfire. They are most likely to rope in a foreign striker to reduce the goalscoring burden on Vineeth. That said, Kerala Blasters have a formidable rearguard with the likes of Jhingan, Anto and Ruatthara in their ranks.

Iain Hume, who is the all-time top scorer in the ISL with 23 goals across three seasons, was a part of the Kerala franchise in the first season of the tournament before moving to ATK.

Kerala Blasters announced on Monday that Canadian striker Iain Hume will be representing the two-time finalists in the next season of the Indian Super League (ISL).

Kerala Blasters had a good outing at the ISL Player Draft on Sunday as they signed fifteen players for the next season -Prashanth K, Rino Anto, Lalruatthara, Milan Singh, Arata Izumi, Subhashish Roy Chowdhury, Jackichand Singh, Siam Hanghal, Lalthakima, Pritam Kumar Singh, Samuel Shadap, Loken Meitei, Karan Sawhney and Ajith Sivan.

They had already retained the services of defender Sandesh Jhingan and forward CK Vineeth before the draft and they can still sign six more foreign players before the start of the season

The 33-year old striker is a huge fan favourite when it comes to the ISL and during his first stint with Kerala Blasters, he scored five goals to win the Hero of the League award. However, he decided to join ATK at the end of that season and was an integral part of the team that won the title last season

ഇയാന്‍ ഹ്യൂമിന്റെ തിരിച്ചുവരവ്‌ ടീമിനു പുതിയ പുതിയ ഊര്‍ജ്ജം കൈവരിക്കുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. കേരളത്തിലെ തന്റെ ആരാധകരുടെ മുന്നില്‍ വീണ്ടും ആവേശത്തിന്റെ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റ്‌ അഴിച്ചുവിടാനുള്ള ആവേശത്തിലാണ്‌ ഇയാന്‍ ഹ്യൂം എ്‌ന്നും റെനെ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ഒന്‍പതാം നമ്പര്‍ ജേഴ്‌സിയില്‍ മുന്‍നിരയില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ സി.കെ.വിനീത്‌ മാത്രമെയുള്ളു അതൊരു കുറവല്ലേ എന്ന ചോദ്യത്തിനു ടീം ലിസ്‌റ്റ്‌്‌ ഇപ്പോള്‍ പൂര്‍ണമല്ലെന്നും വിദേശ കളിക്കാരും ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കളിക്കാരും ഇനിയും ടീമില്‍ എത്തുമെന്നും മികച്ച കോംബനീഷനിലായിരിക്കും അവസാന ഇലവനെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക എന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. ടീമിലേക്കു രണ്ട്‌ ഗോള്‍ കീപ്പര്‍മാരെ കൂടി തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്‌. ഒരു ഗോള്‍ കീപ്പര്‍ വിദേശ താരം ആയിരിക്കും.

അതേപോലെ നിലവില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്ന 16 ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കളിക്കാരുടെ ലിസ്റ്റില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ ഇനി എത്രപേര്‍ക്ക്‌ മത്സരത്തിനുവേണ്ടി നറുക്കുവീഴുമെന്നു പറയാനാവില്ല. 
കേരള ബ്ലാസ്‌റ്റേഴ്‌സിന്റെ ഹോം ഗ്രൗണ്ടായ കൊച്ചിയില്‍ ഇന്നലെ ആദ്യമായി എത്തിയ മുഖ്യ പരിശീലകന്‍ റെനെ മ്യൂലന്‍സ്റ്റീനോടൊപ്പം ടെക്‌നിക്കല്‍ ഡയറക്‌ടര്‍ താംങ്‌ ബോയ്‌ സിംഗ്‌തോ,ബ്ലാസ്റ്റേഴ്‌സ്‌ സി.ഇ.ഒ. വരുണ്‍ തൃപുരാനേനി എന്നിവരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
